The Best New Hair-Care Products Coming in September

The top product launches to check out.

By Kat Suico

Let's just address the elephant in the room: Times are weird as hell right now. Anxiety is high. Chaos, uncertainty, and fear are all around us. People are losing their jobs. COVID-19 has turned our world upside down. With salons and spas closed, most of us are forced to forfeit the comforts and conveniences we're used to. We're cutting our own hair, removing our own gel manicures, and even changing the way we dress — gloves and masks are pretty much a requirement for going outside.

So it's safe to say that in this time of quarantine and social distancing, hair care may (understandably) not be in front of mind. However, focusing on the world outside can quickly become too much to take. Indulging in simple pleasures, like babying your hair, can be a form of self-care, whether you're creating a conditioning mask from kitchen ingredients or trying out a new hair-care product.

If you're fortunate enough to have the disposable funds, a few brands are soldiering on to bring us some newness that might distract you from what's going on outside for just a little while.

Read on to see the new hair-care products to snap up in September.

dpHUE Root Touch Up Stick

Roots are inevitable between appointments for those with colored hair. dpHUE just made the upkeep process easier with its new Root Touch-Up Stick. The dual-sided stick, which has color on one end and a blending brush on the other, instantly covers grays and blends in roots with long-lasting temporary color. The four shades (red, blonde, medium brown, and dark brown) come in a sweat-resistant formula that doesn't rub off. Use it on your roots or to fill in the hairline with pulled-back styles.
